Nease cheer tryouts: special insight
From June 4-6 Nease Cheer tryouts took place. The Nease cheer team previously placed 8th at Nationals in 2020 and in 2021 advanced to finals at Nationals. The girls spend endless days and practices preparing for their competition season. A huge misconception is that the Varisty sideline team and the competition team are the same, however this is not true. Many of the varsity team members are however selected for the team along for members from JV who would make a better fit. One of the most important things these girls believe for aiding this team is the closeness or bonds between them. Though the lows and highs these girls always have each others backs. The dedication and practice these girls put into their season is worth it. One of the newest assets to the team is Connor Porten, not many guys try out for the sport but Connor is one of the best tumblers on the cheerleading team. He is also on another all-star cheerleading team called top gun all stars guardians, he drives to Tampa 2 hours away 3 days a week to be on this team. This type of commitment shows how determined cheerleaders are in the competition world. Follow Neasecheerleading on Instagram to stay updated on the cheer season.
