Senior Scholarships
With our school year underway, many senior students are worried about the potential costs of college. In the last 20 years alone, tuition fees have risen 141%. These raised costs can leave many students worried about their future. Scholarships give seniors opportunities to earn money to pay for tuition.
There are many different scholarship opportunities, as seen in the Panther Press. The majority of awards involve writing essays relating to a chosen topic, such as leadership experience or community involvement. The Florida P.E.O. Scholarship is awarded to women in leadership, the deadline being January 15, while the Brooks Law Scholarship requires a written essay on the subject of distracted driving, due December 31.
These different awards are an effective and easy way to reduce tuition costs and to be recognized. Visit the Nease Panther Press for more details on different scholarship options.
