The spotlighted businesses include Spinster Abbotts, Sunday gathering table, Jenna Alexander studio, Juniper market, Declaration & co, Snakebird vintage, crafts without borders, materialistic, Luli’s cupcakes, 360 boutique, Flip flop shop, Anchor boutique, Borrillos pizza & subs, Antiques & things, Chez L’Amour, St. Augustine scoop, Hilaman & Co, Coastal traders, Alms + Fare, Cool and collected, The painted lady, Cookiebird ice cream, Paddiwack, Smith works studios, and Mumu Vintage.

After taking a short break during January to prepare for the exciting year ahead, the block parties are back in full swing beginning on February 28th. Previous block parties have had Halloween parties with costume contests as well as trick or treating, craft nights, permanent bracelet jewelers, live screen printing, art market, scavenger hunts, bag decorating, plant markets, vintage markets, and so much more. While the details for this event are still in the making, it is certain that these block parties bring our community together and provide an amazing way to support our local businesses. Here is what one of our local business owners has to say about the block parties.

“The block party is such a major event for the community to connect neighbors and friends and get to know the humans behind the small businesses of uptown! Tourists can come shop, enjoy local food and spirits, and get a feel for the sweet community we have in St. Augustine.” -Elizabeth Pozniak owner of Mumu vintage shop

“Block parties in uptown St. Augustine are all about bringing folks together, celebrating our towns awesome vibe, and boosting that community pride while having a blast! As a business owner, I love block parties because they let us show off what we offer while also coming together as a team, attract new customers, increase foot traffic and sales, and build great relationships within the community!” – Laura Mauden owner of Mumu vintage shop

“The uptown Block Party is planned first and foremost with locals in mind- local residents AND local business owners. It is an opportunity to gather in a space where you will run into friends while supporting the community just by shopping, eating, drinking, and dancing locally! For those folks visiting from out of town, they get to see how great it is to live here and enjoy an unscripted, authentic time in our city, while also spending their vacation money on businesses that keep those dollars circulating in the local economy.” -Liz Snyder owner of Spinster Abbotts
