Lacrosse is Back!

As the new lacrosse season is coming, everyone is exited. After winter break and a long fall off-season, the girls lacrosse team has already had their tryouts. With Logan Wiesler and Carmen Palenik as varsity captains, they are ready for a good season! On Friday, February 7th the girls’ varsity lacrosse team had their first preseason game against Tocoi Creek Highschool with a score of 17-14. From the first whistle, the game was quick, and back and forth. Tocoi had been up by 8 points after Nease lost the first draw. Tocoi defended too hard, and Nease got an 8-meter shot. Standing on the 8, Ava Tudor waited for the whistle, then ran in and shot and scored and goal that started our come back. After this we all were running up and down the field and making more goals until we were tied neck and neck. By the end of the fourth quarter, Nease had scored as much as we could to come back up but couldn’t all the way. This loss had made our team get ready to work harder than ever to win districts this year!
