BSU Celebration

“We must never forget that Black History is American History. The achievements of African Americans have contributed to our nation’s greatness”-Yvette Clarke, U.S congresswoman.

On Wednesday, February 28th Nease’s Black Student Union leadership, Teniyah Blutcher(12th), Moriah Ayers(11th), and Moriah Ayers(10th) hosted a celebration in honor of Black History Month. The celebration included food, drinks, games, crafts, and so much more. Students enjoyed food from plantains to fried chicken and many sweet treats. Many enjoyed playing a game of recognizing historical black figures with Mrs.Millian. Crafts were also offered, including unity bracelets. Jasmine Ayers said they threw the celebration because “we wanted to celebrate black accomplishments to bring together the students of Nease and learn more about black culture and also just have fun!”
