Dead Shark Found Hanging at Ponte Vedra High School for Senior Prank
The situation is believed to be a senior prank. Five students on wednesday night went to the school and hung the shark up. There are rumors circulating that the shark was pregnant but it is unclear at the time if this is true. A local lawyer interviewed by New4jax says “…whoever is responsible could face charges of trespassing, wildlife violations and criminal mischief.” This is a level 4 offense at the school so the students will face mandatory suspension, possible expulsion, no senior year privileges and more. The Florida Wildlife Conservation is leading the investigation and a commissioner went to the school today. Surveillance video has been turned over to the St. Johns County Sheriff office but has not been released to the public.
