FHSAA 3A State Swimming and Diving Championship

On November 8th, the Nease Boys and Girls Swim and Dive team compete at States in Ocala, Florida at the FAST pool, which is about 2 hours away from Nease. Following their big success at Regionals, with boys taking first place and girls taking second, more people than ever before qualified for the State meet. The team consists of 10 boys and 13 girls including 2 divers. Prelims will begin at 9 am, where swimmers will compete for a spot in finals, which will begin at 5:30 pm. The events consist of the 50-, 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyle, the 200- yard IM, the 100- yard backstroke, the 100-yard breaststroke, and the 100-yard butterfly. There are also relays, which include the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 400-yard freestyle relay, and the 200-yard IM relay. To win States, the swimmers need to score as many points as possible. With a successful season so far, we can’t wait to see  what they will do next!
