Flagler County Faces Water Issues After Ian

Hurricane Ian has done a lot of damage to southwestern Florida, one of those issues being: water. Flagler County is advised to use only essential water since the rainwater from Ian had a major impact on the water treatment plant there. Essential water usage entails limited flushes, showers, and laundry work. Officials have commented that if the plant can’t process the water that comes into it, there will be a sewer backup on the streets. By limiting the water people send to the pipes, the water plant can catch up and reopen surrounding schools. Federal aid will be issued later this week to help recover the damage done by the storm.
