Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind Dance Troupe: Winter performance

This month on Monday, the 16th of December, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind have their annual winter performance performed by one of the many Performing arts programs they have, the dance troupe! American Sign language classes here at Nease were invited to join other high schools in the county to watch the performance. It is a mix of students from both the Deaf High School as well as the Blind High School. The performance includes many dances, signed songs, solos, and interactions with the students from the audience.

While the dance troupe provides live entertainment all around the state they also perform for schools, colleges, civic and service organizations, as well as community events. Many members of the troupe have also rendered the National Anthem in American Sign Language at many of the Jacksonville Jaguars home games.
