Get into the Holiday Spirit with these Dazzling Christmas Light Displays Near You!

It’s finally Christmas time! What better way to get into the holiday spirit and festivities than to look at the beautiful Christmas lights all over Jacksonville! Here is a list of 4 of the most outstanding light displays for you and your loved ones to see.

  1. St. Augustine Night of Lights

Many Nease students visit this award-winning event every year, crammed into the streets of St. Augustine admiring the amazing lights lighting up 20 blocks of historic St. Augustine. The Night of Lights is a free event and runs until January 28.

  1. Blackhawk Buff

The iconic Blackhawf Buff neighborhood, located west of Atlantic Beach, puts on one of the largest Christmas light displays every year. Viewers can enjoy a scenic drive through the neighborhood while listening to Christmas music that is synced with the lights draped on the houses as well as in the air! This event is completely free, but the traffic tends to get backed up as thousands of people visit this light show.

  1. Deck the Chairs

Apart from the sparking lights, music, and nationally recognized decorated lifeguard chair exhibit, Deck the Chairs “is a non-profit promoting children’s arts and arts education” (deckthechairs.org). This free event is located in Jacksonville Beach and lasts six weeks.

  1. ZooLights at the Jacksonville Zoo

All throughout the zoo, thousands of lights are strung, creating a magical experience for everyone. Walking through the zoo, it is filled with “moving sculptures, forests of lighted trees, and animal silhouettes” (visitjacksonville.com). Visitors can also tour the zoo and look at the lights on the Zoo Express train. This is the only event where tickets are required for entry.

Jacksonville offers many outstanding light displays during the holiday season!
