Have You Donated Christmas Toys?

Toys for Tots is a program ran by the U.S. Marine Corps that aims to collect and distribute unopened Christmas toys to less fortunate children across the country. The program has been more than successful as they’ve brightened the Christmas of 9.9 million kids by organizing and distributing over 24.4 million toys. Toys for Tots accepts any toys and other entertainment sources like board games or card games, as long as they’re in good shape and unopened from their box or container.

Fortunately for the students and faculty of Nease, there are multiple places to donate around our school campus until December 1st.  Students and staff members can drop off their donations to the media center, the front office, and D-27. Individuals can give toys that are for any age, new and unopened, and are not wrapped.

Furthermore, SGA has offered to purchase a breakfast or a treat during excel to the club or team that gave the most donations. To ensure that your donation wins a point for your team or club, make sure to tape a note with the name of the club or team.

These donations serve as a great opportunity for students to help provide a better Christmas to children and families that are less economically fortunate. By dropping off toys at the designated areas on campus, students and staff can benefit not only the surrounding Jacksonville and Saint Augustine area, but also assist the country as a whole.
