Nease Hosts Annual Career & Technical Fair
On Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, Nease will be opening up the gymnasium from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm for students to attend the Career & Technical Fair. Nease’s assistant principal, Mrs. Johnson, explains who can attend, “Seniors and Juniors will attend the fair through their English classes. During EXCEL, the fair will be open to ALL students including those who are not in an on-campus English class or have English 7th period.” For those wondering what kind of information will be at the fair, Mrs. Johnson continues with, “Students will have the opportunity to talk with prospective employers about their company and take notes on their answer, as well as take any promotional material offered. You may learn about their core values, salary, and requirements for training or education to be hired.” Finally, all students will be excused as long as they attend with their English class or during Excel. The colleges and businesses attending with information booths are as follows: Florida State College at Jacksonville, St. Johns River State College, St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, United States Coast Guard Academy, First Coast Technical College, University of North Florida, Army national Guard, St. Johns Sheriff’s Office, Electrical Training Alliance, YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa, United States Marine Corps, Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and many more.
