Powderpuff Games
In Canada and the United States, we have a tradition called Powderpuff. Powderpuff is a high school girl’s football game against different classes or sometimes school rivals. The first modern game was in the 1970s and the tradition remains. Not only do the girls play as the football players, but the boys also get to act as the cheer team. For Nease Highschool, the first game will be held Monday, April 29th. Freshman vs Sophomores will play at 5:00 PM; and the Juniors vs Seniors will play at 6:00 PM. The championship game is during fifth and sixth period on Wednesday May 1st. The powderpuff boy cheer team will be there for the championship to cheer on the girls. Make sure to come out and see your girls’ and boys’ football teams!
