Rivalry Returns
This Saturday, Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium will once again be filled with electric rivalry between the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs. Known as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” Source this annual showdown brings together fans from both sides for a game that not only impacts the SEC standings but has become a beloved tradition for fans here in Jacksonville and beyond. As usual, EverBank Stadium will turn into a sea of orange, blue, red, and black, with fans flooding into the area for a weekend packed with tailgates, family reunions, and celebrations of school pride. For Jacksonville, this isn’t just another game, it’s an event that brings our community together. Many locals still talk about the days when Jacksonville’s own Tim Tebow took the field as a Gator, inspiring fans and carving out a legacy that’s now felt by each new generation. This game holds even more significance this year, as it will be the last Gators vs. Bulldogs game held at EverBank until 2028. Planned renovations to the stadium mean that, for the next two years, this iconic clash will find a new temporary home. For Jacksonville’s economy and its sports-loving community, the two-year hiatus leaves a void, but fans are excited about what’s to come: a revitalized stadium that will, hopefully, make 2028 return even more spectacular.
