
SAME U.S. Navy/ STEM Camp
What is SAME?
The SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) foundation supports national security through (STEM) science, technology, engineering, and math education, and military-based workshops. The program boasts STEM and military professionals, all with the purpose of “fostering engineering leadership for the nation.”
SAME Camps
For the last 20 years, SAME has offered camps for high-school students interested in STEM skills and careers. Their programs are world-class and unique, with hands-on and competitive team-based curriculums for aspiring STEM and engineering professionals. Interested students can look forward to an unforgettable summer experience!
SAME/U.S. Navy Camp
SAME is currently accepting nominations for the Navy STEM, Engineering and Construction camp from June 22-28 at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. 40 qualified students will engage in hands-on construction, problem-solving, and leadership activities, while working with other student leaders and industry professionals.
SAME’s Engineering and Construction camp is open to academically adequate student leaders on STEM or military focused tracks and are 15+ years of age. More about criteria can be found in the SAME camp application.
Registration fees for the camp are $800. This includes lodging, meals, materials, instruction, and mentoring throughout the week-long experience. Sponsorships covering up to half this cost may be available.
