The 5th Annual BRAVE Summit!

By Keeley Rissman

The BRAVE Summit will be held in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on March 23rd from 3-7pm. Tickets can be purchased from https://www.visitstaugustine.com/event/brave-summit-st-augustine-amphitheatre

What Is the BRAVE Summit?

The “Be Resilient and Voice Emotions Summit,” or BRAVE Summit, will be hosted in St. Augustine this March. An entirely free event, BRAVE is designed to be a positive space to normalize mental health topics in our community, and foster individuality and self-care for attendees. High school students that attend can look forward to a day filled with artistic and musical showcases, games and raffles, food from local vendors, and interesting presentations from this year’s mental-health focused speakers. Community service hours may also be available for attendees.

Sources of Strength at Nease is partnering with the BRAVE Summit this year and hoping to bring awareness of the event into Nease’s student body.

About the Brave Summit Speakers

Emma Benoit is an ambassador for LivingWorks, the world’s leader in suicide prevention training. Emma struggled silently with mental health in high school. She has made it her mission to spread awareness of the youth suicide epidemic, doing so by sharing her story on news programs, podcasts, and now at St. Augustine’s BRAVE summit.
