The NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars lost in the first round of the playoffs to the NY Buffalo Bills. There were many mixed opinions about what the outcome of the game would be, but in the last couple minutes of the fourth quarter, the Bills scored a touchdown and ended up leading 3 points over the Jags. The Jags attempted to make a quick comeback but Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for the Jags, was picked off by the Bills’ safety Cole Bishop which ended the Jacksonville Jaguars season with a final score of 27-24 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Bills will play the Denver Broncos this Sunday, January 17.

Overall, the Jags had a very good season and played well. Their longest winning streak for the 2025-2026 NFL season was eight games. They finished with a 13-4 record overall. The team had some recent trades that may have impacted the Wildcard Playoff games’ outcome. They acquired a new CB Greg Newsome II from the Browns and traded away CB Tyson Campbell and a 2026 seventh-round pick to the Browns. The Jags also traded away 2026 fourth and sixth-round picks to the Raiders for a WR (wide receiver) Jakobi Meyers from the Raiders. These trades may have seen by others to impact the possibility of a win by the Jags over the Bills.
