Veterans Day Parade 2021

The city of Jacksonville is holding many festivities to honor the men and women who have fought for our Country, one being the Veterans Day Parade. The Jacksonville parade is one of the largest parades in the southeast in regards to Veterans Day. On Thursday, November 11 a patriotic presentation featuring grand marshals, senior military officials, active-duty and retired military and veterans groups will be held to honor their service. Live coverage of the parade will air at 11:00 on November 11. The parade takes place in November, the eleventh month, on the eleventh day at 11:00 AM because major hostilities in the war formally ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918. This parade is sponsored and funded by The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A. and will begin on North Jefferson Street. If attending the parade, it is encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to support the veterans. Even though Veterans Day allows us to have a day off school, we should take the time to reflect on what our veterans have fought for and everything they have sacrificed.
