An exciting event to look forward to is always the best motivator to push through the school week. A great incentive is a concert! From carefully choosing the perfect outfit to belting out songs, concerts are an amazing experience. Luckily, Florida has many bands, artists, and festivals coming to perform throughout the year with genres for everyone such as country, pop, rap, rock, Latin music, and even EDM. Let’s take a look at the concerts happening all across Florida!

Jacksonville
On November 12, Justin Timberlake is performing The Forget Tomorrow World Tour at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena from 7:30-11:30pm. His setlist consists of 28 songs including hits like “SexyBack”, “Mirrors”, and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”. Be sure to buy tickets on Ticketmaster!

St. Augustine
Artists Stephen Sanchez and Slowdive are coming to the St. Augustine Amphitheater on December 6th and November 10th. Sanchez “embodies an oldschool vibe” that has attracted many people to his music (grammys.com). Slowdive’s music is described as dream pop/ rock and characterized by its “dreamy atmosphere and lush soundscapes.” They incorporate ambient, rock, and folk music into their music style. Orlando
Orlando is hosting many concerts throughout the month of November and December including the EDC Orlando festival, Destroy Boys, Kacey Musgraves, and Rod Wave. EDC Orlando is an EDM festival known for its “electric dance music, full-size carnival rides, performers, and art” (orlando.
electricdaisycarnival.com). The festival is three days from November 8-10th. Later that week, Destroy Boys, a rock band, will be playing on November 19th at The Beacham. If you’re not into rock, Kasey Musgraves, a country artist, is playing at the Kia Center on December 2nd and Rod Wave on December 17th. Musgraves has produced albums with different genres include folk and pop music but “her music has always reflected that [country] no matter what genre she was experimenting with” says americansongwriter.com.

Miami
Latin pop star Shakira is bringing her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to the lively Miami area in the Kaseya Center on November 19-21. We can look forward to hearing her hits like “Waka Waka” and “Hips
Don’t Lie”. Additionally, one of the most popular and largest hip-hop festivals, Rolling Loud, is coming to Miami on December 13-15th. Each day, there is a different set of performers, each with high energy setlists, with multiple food and merchandise vendors around the festival. The headliners include Future, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti. Attendee Addison McAlpin says she’s excited to see her “rap playlist come to life”. She’s most excited to see Playboi Carti because “he hasn’t had a tour I’ve been able to go to and seeing him will be a once in a lifetime experience.”
