Summer break Extension
On Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, the St. Johns County School Board unanimously voted to extend summer break by one week. Although the 2021-2022 school year was initially scheduled to begin on August 10th, 2021, Superintendent of Schools Tim Forson suggested that extending summer break would allow students and teachers to get a little more time off. He also explained that this extension would give construction and projects at school facilities more time to be completed. With that said, the 2021-2022 school year for St. Johns County schools will now start on August 16th, 2021.
