Hispanic Heritage Month: Let the Celebration Begin!

National Hispanic Heritage Month takes place from September 15 to October 15 every year. Starting in 1968, Hispanic Heritage Month has been celebrated through festivals, community gatherings, and more to commemorate the Hispanic culture of our nation. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the culture and history of the American Latino Community. Here at Nease, Ms. Milian has coordinated a special event as a way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at our school. On Wednesday, October 6, a Hispanic Heritage Expo will be held in the media center during Excel. This Expo will include music, food, dancing, and more for students to enjoy and celebrate Hispanic culture. The gathering is a great way for students to learn more about Hispanic history and culture while having fun. Students are welcome to join the celebration and join in on the appreciation of the Hispanic culture throughout the month!
