Just recently a former Jacksonville sheriff office detective has pleaded guilty to a murder that happened about 20 years ago. William Baer is a 65 year old man who is now receiving life in prison without the death penalty due to the plea agreement. When the incident happened in 1999 the victims (Saaf Kwaff and his wife) had clearly faced many injuries and eventually death to the husband, the wife survived being attacked and tortured. A quote from Firts Coast News says, “Immediate family is still too traumatized by the murder to be in the courtroom Tuesday with Baer.”
