Cold Night Shelters in Jacksonville

The past few weeks have been very cold ones throughout Northern Florida. Average temperatures have been sitting in the mid-high 50’s and 60’s but dropping to low 40’s at night.

A homeless shelter in Jacksonville called the Sulzbacher Center houses over 400 people in the main campus and Sulzbacher Village. Due to such low temperatures, dining rooms and libraries are being converted to act as temporary sleeping areas for those in need of a warm place to spend the night.
