NASA Calls Off Artemis Launch
Monday morning the new moon rocket “Artemis” was set to launch to go to the moon, in hopes of learning how to live, survive and work before the expedition to Mars. Hundreds of people gathered to see the launch, including Vice President Kamala Harris, but were disappointed in learning that it would not take place. The engines had a bleed that NASA wanted to test, which is why it was a non-human crew, and instead the ship was manned with mannequins. There is another opportunity to launch the rocket next weekend, but that is dependent on whether NASA can fix the problem and if weather conditions are stable.
