SpaceX Calls Off the Launch of Starship, the Most Powerful Rocket Ever Made

SpaceX has called off its first launch attempt of Starship, its most powerful rocket ever built, after a problem cropped up during fueling. The massive rocket booster was expected to vault the Starship spacecraft off its ground pad, but the launch was called off due to what the SpaceX broadcast said was a pressurization issue. The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, tweeted, “A pressurant valve appears to be frozen, so unless it starts operating soon, no launch today.” Even after the decision to wave off the launch, the team continued to execute some launch operations and kept the countdown clock going during a practice run referred to as a “wet dress rehearsal.” They ultimately paused the countdown clock with 40 seconds left.
