Nease Win Over Tate

    On Friday, November 15th, at Nease High School, the Nease football team beat Tate High School, adding to their 10-0 record this year. Tate entered the game ranked No.8 in the region with it being their first time being in the playoffs since 2020, while Nease is currently ranked No.1 statewide. The game started at 7:00 pm and ended at 10:30 pm, with Nease winning 42-14. This victory was heavily due to the Nease offense performance, as they averaged 39.5 points per game. Nease senior Maddox Spencer was a standout player and picked up 171 receiving yards, and Nate Harry threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns with an 88.2% passing completion rate, showing his composure under pressure. The Nease defense played a critical role in the win by intercepting two passes before the game ended. The interceptions from Kash Kolbow and Joe Mircale helped secure the win for Nease. This win boosted the team’s morale, as players and coaches celebrated on the fields. Nease plans to continue their ongoing record as they prepare for their next challenge facing Oakleaf at 7:30 pm Friday the 22nd. The Nease team remains focused and determined to extend their winning streak, and they continue to push forward in the playoffs.
