
SNL’s 50th Anniversary

Saturday Night Live (SNL) celebrated its 50th anniversary this past weekend, marking half a century of funny skits, unforgettable moments and iconic sketches capturing America’s attention, and bringing together family and friends for a nostalgic memory. The anniversary reunited old and new cast members, and featured legendary music guests such as Paul Simon, Miley Cyrus, and Arcade Fire. Some of America’s favorite skits like Debbie Downer, Moving to New York, Domingo, and Bronx Beat also returned to the television. The special additionally included a heartfelt tribute to the history of the show, highlighting its lasting impact on comedy and American culture. With a mix of new and old capturing the attention of nearly 15 million viewers, it marked the most-watched entertainment broadcast in over five years, solidifying a reminder of SNL’s place in television history.
