Pope Francis Death

  Pope Francis died on April 21, 2025, at the age of 88. The cause of death was a stroke and heart failure. He passed away at his home at Casa Santa Maria, where he had lived since his election in 2013. Francis was last seen on Sunday when he gave the traditional Easter blessing from the balcony of St. Peters. His death has opened debate on the direction of the Catholic Church in the future, and cardinals are expected to gather in Rome on Tuesday elect his successor. Donald Trump paid tribute to the Pope, saying, “He was a good man, worked hard. He loved the world, and it’s an honor to do that.” Trump will be attending his funeral with first lady Melania Trump, which will be held on Saturday in St. Peter’s Square.
