The Biggest Golf Event in Ponte Vedra: TPC

The 2026 Players Championship is happening right now, with the tournament officially running from Thursday, March 12, to Sunday, March 15, at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It has brought the world’s best golfers to “Island Green” 17th hole. As the PGA Tour’s flagship event, this year features a $25 million purse and a high-stakes showdown between world number one,  Scottie Scheffler and defending champion Rory McIlroy. With tournament play starting tomorrow morning, March 12, the atmosphere in Ponte Vedra Beach is electric, especially as fans watch to see if McIlroy can overcome recent back issues to secure a historic third title. It’s “moving week” for the sport’s biggest names, promising four days of high-pressure drama on one of golf’s most unforgiving courses.
