An Extra Excel at the End of Exams?

Midterms week is always one of the most stressful times of the year for high school students; many people are trying to finish any last-minute assignments while worrying about tests that are often worth huge portions of their semester grade. The last week of the 2nd quarter is a little different this year, however. In the past, a special schedule was put into place to make sure that every class had an opportunity to give an exam to test students’ knowledge of the subject material. This is still the case, although there is only one difference in the schoolwide schedule: on both Wednesday and Thursday, excel will take place after 4th period and Thursday will be treated as a Wednesday schedule-wise. Here are the details regarding what courses will test on each day:

Thu, Dec 14 (Green) & Fri, Dec 15 (Gold)– Science, English & World Language

Mon, Dec 18th (Green) & Tue, Dec 19th (Gold) – Math, Social Studies & electives, if giving a paper/pencil summative.

Wed, Dec 20th w/EXCEL – Students will receive test scores and be provided remediation if needed.

Thu, Dec 21st – 2:50pm holiday release, so Wed bell schedule w/EXCEL. Retakes need to occur during class time.
