Fake Prom season

With 2021, being filled w cancellations on social events like Homecoming and Prom many people have taken action around the community to create their own “proms.” Most people go with a group of friends to take pictures around the “Famous” Inn fountain in Ponte Vedra. Others take pictures in nice locations similar to the atmosphere. Then the group of friends typically goes out to dinner somewhere nice, and someone will host a get together after. Many seniors this year have never got to experience a real prom before, however they didn’t let COVID get in the way of having that experience. Many people might think that having a prom with your real friends is even more fun than going to one with random people. So, the real question is: Does a fake prom meet the expectations you envisioned as underclassmen?  An article for a DIY prom was posted on Today saying, “In basements and on patios, using Spotify playlists and homemade decorations, with parents and siblings as their dance floor partners” (Today)
