Flo Rida Files Lawsuit Against Celsius
Flo Rida, an American singer and rapper, filed a lawsuit against Boca Raton-based Celsius Holdings Inc. The hip-hop artist claimed to be a brand ambassador of Celsius and sued the brand for attempting to hide money from him while breaching a contract. David Fisher from USA Today claims Flo Rida’s reasoning was, “Basically, I helped birth this company, and all we was looking for was some trustworthy people who acted as if they were family…” Flo Rida continues with, “And then when it comes down to the success of today, they just forgot about me.” Celsius lawyers argue that the popular energy drink became successful only after the deal with Flo Rida as a brand ambassador ended. On Wednesday, January 18th, 2023, the American singer and rapper obtained $82 million when the court found that the Celsius brand breached the alleged contract.
