Goodbye MTV News

On May 9th, 2023, MTV News was shut down after Paramount Global announced that it would lay off around 25% of its staff. Josh Horowitz, and MTV News affiliate, responded to the situation on Instagram, stating how, “This is a very sad day for a lot of friends and colleagues…Many great people lost their jobs. I’m so honored to have been a small part of its history. Wishing the best for the best in the business”. Paramount Global has been reported to be restructuring its studios, and dropping MTV News may align with its goals for the future.
