Nease high school Holds “Trashy Prom”

Nease High School and Ponte Vedra High School held a “Trashy Prom” for those in their ‘Beaches Go Green’ clubs. A student at Ponte Vedra brought the idea to their mother and it came to life last Sunday, April, 18th. The event was held in honor of Earth Day and the movement to stop fast fashion. Students were encouraged to wear either an outfit they already owned, or a thrifted outfit. A lot of students thought outside of the box and added trash to their outfits. Beaches Go Green is a nonprofit club all about cleaning up our beaches and saving our planet. The trash prom was open to all members and any of their friends. Anne Marie Moquin is the founder of Beaches Go Green and attended the prom. There were huge poster boards all around the room with facts and quotes about saving the earth. Beaches Go Green constantly works toward bettering our planet and hopes everyone else can be a little more helpful each day!
