Nease Lacrosse Season is Approaching

The Nease High School’s spring sports season is quickly approaching. If Nease girls are interested in trying out for the lacrosse team, they must attend a mandatory meeting. The date of this meeting is Wednesday, January 11th in Coach Fifield’s room PH205. The meeting will take place during Excel B, make sure to be on time so information is not missed. Coach Fifield adds what will be discussed at the meeting, “We will discuss athletic clearance so we can make sure everyone who wants to try out is cleared to try out; the plan for tryouts; what the season will look like.” Excel is a busy time for many students so if one cannot make the meeting for a legitimate reason Coach Fifield recommends, “That person should contact either in person or by email Coach Fifield, Coach Zellen, or Coach Booth ASAP. We are all on campus so we should be easy to get hold of.” Coach emphasizes how missing the mandatory meeting is not recommended, as it will include important information about the girl’s lacrosse season. Coach Fifield adds that fun and exciting information about the upcoming season for girls lacrosse will include, “First, varsity will be playing at Rivalry on the River for the first time. The boys’ lacrosse team plays in that every year. And we are hoping to have a JV team this year which means more girls experiencing the fastest game on two feet!!” If any girls are interested in trying out for the lacrosse team, make sure to attend the mandatory meeting to participate in these events.
