New High for Florida Gas Prices in 2022

The AAA confirmed Monday that Florida gas prices reached a 2022 high after they reached $3.51 per gallon. The Auto Club Group says that “that’s 15 cents more than last year’s high and the highest daily average price since July 2014.” As of Monday, Duval County’s average price per gallon was $3.46 and nationwide it was $3.53. The AAA also says that as of Monday “Florida’s average price for gasoline was down 1 cent to $3.50,” but that is 5 cents more than this time last week and this time last year was 90 cents less than it is now. These numbers are making Florida residents wonder what gas prices will look like in the future and if they will fluctuate more than they are now.
