New Mask Regulations in Florida

The CDC has announced that people who have received both shots of the Pfiezer or Moderna vaccines may remove their masks outdoors, except in extremely crowded situations.

Although the mask mandate in Jacksonville was lifted about a month ago, many places in Northeast Florida have still been required to wear masks in all settings. The city of Palm Coast only just removed their mask mandate in all city buildings on April 27th.

In regards to the new guidelines, the director of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky said, “There are many situations where fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask, particularly if they are outdoors. If you are fully vaccinated and want to attend a small outdoor gathering with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated or dining at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households, the science shows, if you’re vaccinated, you can do so safely unmasked.”
