Nease boy’s wrestling achieved the honor of competing in state finals! Junior and 3A Region Champion Alan Rivera (20-5, RQ) and senior Jacob Lutz (34-5, RQ) competed on March 4th in the Silver Spurs Arena in an attempt to take home the gold. The last time Nease wrestling won a state championship was by Chris Taylor in 2017. The team’s diligence, hard work, and perseverance that has been focused on during their season has paid off in their journey to the state qualifiers. Even though no titles were won, the two competitors gained a valuable experience, as it is not every day one of Nease’s sports teams have the chance to go to states. Nease wrestling continues to grow stronger every year.
