Staff Shortage in Stores

The holiday season has arrived meaning that stores will have some of their largest crowds of the year. Black Friday is approaching fast, and everyone will be trying to get to the front of lines to get the best discounts they can. Unfortunately, a lot of companies this holiday season are extremely short on staff and need to hire people as soon as possible. Some of the biggest companies like FedEx, Amazon, UPS and Walmart need up to 100,000 workers and are desperate for employees. The lack of staff also has an impact on consumers. Craig Rowley, who works at a management consulting firm, says “if employers can’t find the workers they need, online orders could take longer because there won’t be enough people to pack orders or deliver them.” Companies need workers, and people are encouraged to reach out.
