Nicole could be moved up to a category 1 hurricane by the time it reaches landfall. Tropical Storm Nicole could become a Category 1 hurricane Wednesday as it whips the Bahamas and maintain its strength when it hits Florida’s east coast late that night, forecasters say, poised to deliver heavy rain, damaging winds and possibly tornadoes to some places still recovering from Hurricane Ian,” said CNN news reporters.

People have become scared of damage to their homes due to the high winds that will be coming with this storm. The storm has devastated many by ruining more homes after Hurricane Ian. “Much of St. Augustine’s historic district was underwater Thursday. The bay spilled onto streets and into businesses, some people using kayaks to get around. Others waded in the water that was above their knees,” said News4Jax reporters.
