New Schools Coming to St. Johns County

St. Johns County is considered one of the fastest growing counties in Florida, and because of this there is a plan to build four new schools in the next five years. The plan is to build one new elementary school along with three new K-8 schools, but there are no new high schools for the time being, except Beachside High school, due to the district maxing out its spending. The school district is growing at a rapid pace and the hope is that these new schools will help prevent overcrowding in current schools and reduce portable classrooms. The district is hopeful that there will be 19 new schools built in the next 20 years.
