Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory Fiasco
For $44 a ticket and a trip to Glasgow, Scotland, many children, parents, and actors traveled to take part in and enjoy the Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory experience. Quickly after arrival, these children, parents, and actors quickly realized that this experience was everything short of what was promised. One parent stated, “It was all described as a massive immersive experience, great idea for the kids, chocolate fountains… Just sounded really, really good, a nice day for the children and the family, and when we got there, as you can see by the pictures and stuff, it just was not that at all. There were four or five props, and a few jellybeans for the kids. Half a cup of lemonade. Just was not what was promised whatsoever.” The event disappointed many, leaving the developers with the decision to refund everyone who purchased a ticket.
