BBQ Festival in Jacksonville
The very first Boss of the Sauce BBQ Festival is being held this weekend at the Riverfront Plaza in Jacksonville. This event begins Thursday April 8th with a concert to kick off the event and lasts three days, ending with the barbeque competition on Saturday April 10th. The concert begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, with Chase Rice performing at 7:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19 regulations, the food entered into the barbeque competition will only be available to the judges; however, many food trucks will be present so guests can still eat some good food. For the event, general admission will be free for the concert on Thursday and the barbeque competition on Saturday.
