Your Coachella 2023 Recap

From Frank Ocean’s controversial performance in the first weekend of Coachella to Zendaya’s surprise appearance in the second weekend, Coachella 2023 had several iconic (and other not-so-iconic) moments. Here is your quick recap of a few remarkable Coachella 2023 events.

  • Bad Bunny’s first weekend performance set-up displayed a tweet stating “goodnight benito could do as it was but harry could never do El Apagaon”, which took many to surprise as negative interactions between Bad Bunny and Harry Styles have never been seen on the internet before this. Bad Bunny later apologized, saying “Sorry Harry. It was a mistake from my team. We love you. <3”.
  • Frank Ocean’s performance in the first weekend confused and angered many audience members after he began his performance an hour late. He later decided to cancel his show set for the second weekend, and it was explained how he received medical advice to avoid performing after he sprained his leg and received two fractures. Ocean commented on the situation, saying “It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon”. Blink-182 later took over Ocean’s spot during Coachella’s second weekend.
  • Euphoria star, Zendaya made a surprise appearance during Labrinth’s performance where the two sang “I’m Tired” and “All for Us”, both songs appearing on HBO’s Euphoria. Zendaya later wrote on Instagram, “Thank you to my brother @labrinth for inviting me and giving me the most beautiful safe space to be on a stage again”.
