Wrestling Season is Almost Here!

At Allen D. Nease High School, there is a wide variety of different sports for athletes to choose from. With the coming of the winter months, wrestling’s pre-season conditioning is in full swing, and Nease wrestlers are hard at work preparing to dominate the competition. Practice takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Anyone can join, and to register you must first obtain an AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) membership. Many of Nease’s wrestlers believe wrestling to be a very rewarding experience, as Jacob Lutz (senior) said “I just like to see people on the mat. There’s no better feeling than getting your hand raised at the end of a match and knowing after all the hard work put in, you came out on top.” The regular season starts in early November, but as Coach Lucas (head wrestling coach) said “It’s always good to get a head start on the competition.”
