Winter Sports Coming to an End
As the winter sports season comes to an end, the Nease Girls Varsity soccer team will be playing their last game on Friday the 20th at home vs. St. John’s Country Day School. They have had a very successful season with 10 wins, 3 ties, and just two losses. They will be hosting their first district game vs. Oakleaf. Lauren Lucero, a senior, plans on attending the University Of Alabama at Birmingham to continue her athletic and academic career. After months of searching, Nease High School has finally found itself a new Athletic Director: Chris Gallagher. After the previous position-holder stepped down in 2022, the administration scrambled to get someone else to cover for him.

By: Mikayla Moring House Republicans are split trying to elect a new Speaker of the House after Nancy Pelosi, Former Speaker of the House, resigned from her leadership position on January 3rd, 2023. Anyone can be voted into the position of the Speaker of the House, even someone who is not a representative and has no history of being a representative.
